英语阅读刷到了2015年，难易度越来越大，慢慢开始掉入出题人挖好的陷阱，审题不清、句子再看不懂，分分钟团灭。
风起于青萍之末，一些小的细节限定如果没看清，就会给答题造成极大干扰。
今天做的这篇第22题，我就踩了不看限定词的坑，即一切都是mostly惹的祸。
把它分享出来，我们一起围观出题人命题的科学与艺术。
喝口茶，准备好脑袋瓜，我们开始。
整段一共三句话：
①it’s this apparent transcendence of politics that explains monarchs’ continuing popularity as heads of state.
②and so, the middle east excepted, europe is the most monarch-infested region in the world, with 10 kingdoms,
③but unlike their absolutist counterparts in the gulf and asia, most royal families have survived because they allow voters to avoid the difficult search for a non-controversial but respected public figure.
题目是这么问的：
monarchs are kept as heads of state in europe mostly ——.
[a] to give voter
s more public figures to look up to.
[b] to achieve a balance between tradition and reality.
[c] owing to their undoubted and respected status.
[d] due to their everlasting political embodiment.
看完题目，懂了，讲欧洲君主制领导地位，拿去定位吧。
喜滋滋去原文找到了第一句，然后做错了。
①it’s this apparent transcendence of politics that explains monarchs’ continuing popularity as heads of state.
确实，君主制，领导地位都讲了，但是却没有回答问题所问。
回过头，你细品题目的问法，你会发现命题人为啥要强调一个词mostly，去掉它也能出题的，但还是加上了，说明问的就是mostly绝大多数怎么怎么了。
看到了这个限定，就容易往后找第三句，如果审题不清，看不见，恭喜你，香消玉殒。
原文第三句说的很清楚，most royal families have survived because they allow voters to avoid the difficult search for a non-controversial but respected public figure.
而且non-controversial，respected 还和正确选项里的undoubted，respectable完美呼应。
我说做题的时候，按第一句定位，似乎哪个选项都不对呢，原来是没看到限定词mostly，拿到解题密钥，其它选项根本不存在干扰。
[a] to give voters more public figures to look up to.
给选民更多值得尊敬的公众人物。
啥呀，一看是从第三句里拿词瞎凑的，原文没有这个意思。
[b] to achieve a balance between tradition and reality.
没有讲到平衡的问题。
[d] due to their everlasting political embodiment.
永恒的政治代表性，原文里明显不是在谈这个，还everlasting ，错误率又上升了一点。
甚至从三句话结构编排上也能看出点猫腻。
比如，第一句it’s开头，第二句and so承接，第三句but大写转折，明眼人都知道哇，but后面有惊喜，我硬生生给忽略了。
眼睛不看，错的应该，当然会踩中命题人的陷阱。
所以，敲黑板，限定词非常、极其地重要。
回答问题沾边的可能有1、2、3，但命题人问的是mostly，绝大多数xx，就给你圈住了正确答案的方向。
